Raw Materials List (with shopping links):

UPDATES as of 4/28/23:

This list has been updated to reflect new options that Rio Grande offers in terms of minimum order quantities. If you've been in this class for some time and are revisiting, you may find certain item numbers have changed.

Rio has also stopped selling sterling casting grain that is perfectly round. It no longer works very well for this project due to the irregular and often flat shapes. I've substituted fine silver casting grain here as it seems to offer more spherical granules. Alternatively, you can always make your own round balls by using a round ball bur to make divots in a hard charcoal block, and melting scraps of fine silver in the divots.

Please also note that when ordering components and raw materials from Rio, it is their policy to enforce certain quantity minimums. Because of this, you will likely end up with far more material than required for this project if sourcing these items from the links provided.
