A comprehensive program that blends life and performance coaching with technical instruction.

Through a blend of self-paced and live small-group trainings, students will learn to tackle soldering challenges from the inside out and the ground up: overcoming fear, frustration, and self-doubt all while gaining the technical skills essential for bringing creative ideas to life.

ARTISAN PROGRAM CONTENT + STRUCTURE

Core modules, live small-group calls, priority support, one year access to Solder School and all current Rosy Revolver online courses.

Please see Q&A section below for additional features + details.

Masterful soldering isn't just about skill; it's about self-management.

  • Your beliefs about your abilities directly affect your performance and, therefore, your success. If your default approach to soldering is one of fear, frustration, or predicted failure, you’re more likely to create a cycle of challenges. Shifting to a growth-oriented, positive frame of mind transmutes struggles into stepping stones. This change in perspective allows you to approach soldering with calmness and control.

  • Far more than the “how” of soldering, this tier is about reframing the way you handle challenges, both at the torch and across your creative practice. As you gain technical proficiency and prowess, you’ll also develop self-awareness, resilience, and trust in your ability to "read" process reactions, troubleshoot problems, and produce consistently clean, successful results.

Artisan Tier Q&A

The Artisan tier is the mid-level offering within the Solder School Program.

For answers to questions about Solder School in general, please refer to the Q&A on the main Solder School page.

What is included in the Artisan offering?

The Artisan level includes all components of the core learning modules as well as:

  • (4) 2-hour live small-group coaching calls, which will include mindset work as well as discussions around the course modules, Q&A, and troubleshooting

  • Replays of the live calls, which will be added to the program contents as they're recorded every other week

  • A Priority SS facebook group for Artisan and Alchemist students only (20 members max), to foster an environment for deeper learning. This means less noise and competition for getting posts seen and questions answered, as well as a deliberately intimate community for sharing challenges related to all aspects of designing and building the work and life you envision.

  • Additional mindset and self-awareness resources

  • Access to the Solder School program for one year

  • Access to all current Rosy Revolver online courses for one year

  • A fun welcome gift from me, mailed to you the old fashioned way

What are the nine other products included in the Artisan Tier?

The Artisan Tier includes one year of access to both the complete Solder School program as well as all nine online classes currently within the existing course library.
Please note: This bonus offer does not include free access to new, future courses.

What's the difference between this and the Apprentice tier?

All three tiers- Apprentice, Artisan, and Alchemist- are built around Solder School's nine core modules. While the Apprentice Level focuses exclusively on soldering techniques and applications, the Artisan format brings a more holistic approach, accounting for the maker's current perspective on soldering as well as their entire creative practice. This "doing + being" lens on growth adds additional layers of supportive training so that students are able to shift their mindset to one that serves their potential instead of endlessly feeding the frustration and self-doubt.

Who is this level of learning best suited for?

In terms of skill, all levels are welcome. The Artisan tier is appropriate for those just starting at the bench and those who have more smithing experience, but will be most beneficial to those who:

  • are struggling significantly with mental blocks, impostor syndrome, self-doubt, and hesitancy around their creative abilities

  • are wanting and willing to actively participate in live group calls, which are scheduled during the first two months of the program's start date (NOTE: attendance at live calls is preferred; however, recordings will be made available after each session.)

  • want to grow across a wide variety of skills, as this tier includes one-year access to all Rosy Revolver online courses.

What does each module include?

Modules are collections of related lessons. To maintain a steady learning pace, encourage active practice, and prevent overwhelm, modules are released on a weekly cadence. Each module is built of lessons which may include any of the following formats: pre-recorded demonstrations and/or discussions, PDF guides, shopping resources, and interactive virtual tools.

How do the live calls work?

Students in the Artisan and Alchemy tiers will find the dates and times for live calls within their course portal. Calls will take place every other week, spaced out sufficiently for modules to be released and reviewed before the next Zoom session. Times will vary in an attempt to accommodate various schedules and availabilities. Students are encouraged to join all the live calls they can, but attendance isn't mandatory. All live calls will be recorded and added to the course contents for later viewing and reference.

Each call will be approximately 2 hours, depending on the number of students who attend and the questions that arise. The format will follow a mindset-mechanics-mindset pattern, so that each session focuses on both technical and cognitive approaches to success. Students will also have the opportunity to ask questions.

How does the private Facebook group work?

All Artisan and Alchemist-level students will be provided a link within the course to join the Solder School "Priority" community. This intimate space is separate from the larger Apprentice-level group, with no more than 20 students participating at a time (depending on registration numbers).

Posts will be checked and questions answered twice a day, Monday through Friday, during the eight weeks that new modules drop. After this "active" period concludes, instructor check-ins will continue to occur on a regular, though increasingly less frequent basis. The group will be archived on August 4, 2026, one year after the course start date. At that point, members can still search and view all posts, but new comments and posting will be disabled. Following archival, those who would like to be added to a Solder School Alumni community (for all tiers) will have the opportunity to do so.

Why only a year access?

Historically, online courses purchased through Rosy Revolver LTD have included lifetime* access; however, this approach has proven to attract many customers who never, in effect, make the time to learn and implement course material. In wanting to offer maximum flexibility and value to students, the indefinite structure has inadvertently enabled procrastination and perfectionistic behavior.

The goal of all Rosy Revolver courses to facilitate growth and progress... Pushing for that requires nudging students into action, which means incorporating a timeline. One year, even with life's unexpected twists and turns, provides sufficient time to complete this course and implement the learning... if it's a priority.

At the end of the program year, students who wish to continue accessing the trainings will have the option to shift to a monthly paid subscription model.

*Lifetime access denotes access for as long as Jess continues to offer online courses.

Can I email Jess if I have a specific soldering question?

The promise of this program and the instructor is to actively support you in your learning, and it's understood that being able to ask questions is hugely important.

Students are encouraged to post any and all questions in the Solder School Priority group on Facebook, where questions and answers will benefit everyone.

Should Facebook not be an option, or if additional assistance is needed, students are invited to use the online calendar provided in the course portal to schedule a 20-minute Zoom consultation with Jess. This option does incur a separate, additional fee not included in the Solder School tuition rate.

Unfortunately, due to the number of students and the required time that thorough responses require, Jess is unable to provide answers to technical questions via individual email exchanges.

Emails should be sent for website and tech issues only.
